The Blessing of Blossoms May 16th 6–8:30 PM
Northern Michigan’s premier abstract visual artist, Jen Way and Royal Farms invites you into an immersive celebration of renewal, reflection, and beauty with Jen’s newest collection, The Blessing of Blossoms, presented at Royal Farms Farm Market & Winery on the hilltop among the blossoms. Nestled among the spring blooms, this full-sensory art experience honors the changing of seasons—both in nature and within ourselves—and offers space to reflect on life’s quiet strength and joyful renewal.
It will be soulful evening of art and music in the orchard’s embrace. Guests will enjoy an exclusive first look at Jen Way’s new collection and book, mingle with the artist, and have the opportunity to purchase original works before the exhibition opens to the public.
A new instrumental piece by Virginia-based composer Walter Anderson, written in response to Jen’s work, will provide a thoughtful musical backdrop for the evening. Anderson, known for his subtle and expressive style, will attend to share a few words about the composition and its connection to the collection.
The evening will also include a blessing led by Father Peter Wigdon of St. Mary’s Church, bringing a sense of reverence, renewal, and thanksgiving to this spring celebration.
All of this while enjoying a beautiful charcuterie spread, incredible views of the orchards, Lake Michigan, and a magnificent sunset. A cash bar with Royal Farms wines and ciders, all made utilizing the fresh fruits of the season right off the farm will be available.
“The Blessing of Blossoms collection reflects the orchard's promise: the ache of barrenness, the first fragile signs of hope, and the fleeting beauty of bloom,” says Jen. “Through abstract imagery and prose, this collection honors the quiet strength and faith to keep going, and the joy that returns with new life. It carries both ache and celebration, offering space for reflection, hope, and renewal.”
